Last Friday night A, J & I headed down to Oakland to watch the Wizard of Oz at the Paramount Theater and stop by our friend C's to say goodbye before he heads off to Yemen. The movie was so much better than I remembered it and the theater, as always, takes my breath away.
It had been a long time since I had seen the film, there was a lot I was familiar with but honestly didn't remember. I own an almost complete collection of Frank L. Baum's tales about Oz - I may have to pull them out and do a little reading this year.
